What is the House of Studies?

St. Anthony's Cathedral Liturgical House of Studies will focus on preparing students for community service/social justice and ministry in the communions and denominations in which they plan to serve. The House of Studies will support students in a number of ways:

  • Delivering core courses that inform their ministry, 

  • Providing education and spiritual formation to prepare them for ordination in their respective communions and allowing them to explore their rich denominational heritage and identity (see houses of study or concentrations),  

  • Offering continuing professional development for their diverse ministries, and  

  • Creating opportunities for personal spiritual formation.

St. Anthony's Cathedral Liturgical House of Studies opened in 2017 and provides biblical, theological, and liturgical education to prepare students for community service/social justice and ministry in their respective communions and denominations.

St. Anthony's Liturgical House of Studies is dedicated to transforming and equipping students for community service/social justice and ministry in their communions and denominations by delivering affordable, flexible, challenging, and recognized biblical and theological education and ministerial formation programs, professional development, and opportunities for personal spiritual formation.  

The House of Studies primarily serves as an open environment for theological education and liturgical ministerial formation and is open to ecumenical ministries within the Christian faith.
